Update on Coronavirus

Hello Woodstown Little League Families, I know that we are all acutely aware of the current situation surrounding Covid-19 as it begins to filter into our own communities. During this period we have been staying in contact with our local officials as well as our District and Regional officials from Little League International and I would like to provide you with an update on the season as information becomes available to us. Currently, Little League International has extended the Suspension of all Little League activities until May 11th. Additionally, our state and local officials have also extended the shelter in place order until April 30th. This suspension does include our Opening Day ceremonies that were originally scheduled for this coming Saturday. At this time, Little League International is still evaluating all options for a 2020 Spring season and is hopeful of a season still occuring. It is also important to remind everyone that at this time no leagues including Woodstown Little League have cancelled their season and will instead be continuing with the Suspended Status until notified otherwise by League or Local officials. If and when our season should be cancelled you will be notified directly. In the meantime, the WLL board continues to work on preparations for the season including field maintenance, background checks, and other league requirements so that when we are given the OK to open we are ready for an amazing season. We thank you for your patience and continued support during this crisis and remain hopeful for some kind of a season this year as we know many of our children are sadly missing their teammates and little league experiences. At this time we would like to encourage you to continue to practice baseball/softball fundamentals like catching, throwing, and batting at home with your child. Until we are able to be together on the baseball diamond, the WLL board would like to wish you and your loved ones good health and safety during this difficult time.
